I had a great childhood in Vienna, Austria thanks to hardworking
parents. At 15 I nicked my dad's Japanese video cam and shot my first
skateboard movies. At 21 I began film studies Vienna´s SAE, renowned for grounding young guns with solid ammo in postproduction and
general knowledge in movie making. I was hooked! Traveled to Munich for an internship at Dedo Weigert Film where I learned 16mm and 35mm highspeed camera techniques and fell in love with light and photography. Thereafter, I grabbed an assistant position for a Curt O. Schaller´s steadicam workshop to further my skills.
Between 2006 and 2009, I swam in the hard and dirty waters of commercial business working in camera and lighting departments. I was ready to take the next step towards my dream: Stories and Concepts. I completed my first independent work and even made a buck out of it! I used that buck to found my own production company "Imagine DAT" and began collaboration with other production companies such as Frl Müller & Söhne.
I was honoured to be part of Barack Obama´s inauguration ceremony in Washington DC by MSNBC studios, where I gained invaluable insight into how the U.S. television business operates. I continue to work for television and documentary production throughout Europe, to develop my ideas, to work together in teams of incredible people and to capture a glimpse of it all through great camera work!
